授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
Content:
This course combines English language learning with an exploration of language and society, offering students a comprehensive understanding of how language functions within society. By examining key aspects and intriguing topics in this field, students will not only enhance their English language skills but also gain valuable insights into the complex relationship between language and society. Additionally, the course will guide students in finding reliable sources and writing academic papers with proper citations, equipping them with essential research and writing skills.

Reading & Discussion:
• read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities
• express one's opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively

Writing & Presentations:
• write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (700-1,000 words + bibliography)
• make a visually aided presentation of the paper

Class is taught and participated in English.
